This section is for tutorials on all Apple laptop and desktop computers.
Every Apple computer comes with it's own unique serial number which can reveal important information like the make, year and warranty status. This information is key for selling because it helps you understand the value of your machine to know how old it is and what kind of warranty it has on it.
Need help finding your serial?
You can check your serial at Apple's Service and Support page. Type the serial number into dialogue box and click Continue. Be sure to type in your serial correctly.
Once the page loads you will see a picture of the device associated with the serial number, the model and year (however know that some older models may not show a year or might show ~VIN, which stands for vintage). Under that, you can view all of your warranty info, when it expires, or if it's eligible for an extended warranty.
