The initial evaluation generally takes 2-3 business days depending on the extend of the damage. Emergency evaluations are done in 24 hours and are available for $49 extra. Upon completion of the evaluation we will provide you with an exact quote for the recovery, estimated time to completion and probable success rate. You can stop by anytime, no appointment is required; you will need to leave the machine for a free diagnostic evaluation.

Level two recovery is where about 85% of our clients fall. This is when the card has started to fail but has not yet suffered a catastrophic failure. If the card was formatted, is not detecting, gives an error etc then you may qualify for a level two recovery. However, not all drives with these symptoms will be recoverable with this technique.

Level Two Recovery
We can usually extract the data out of the failing USB drive using specialized level two recovery tools. A level two recovery will attempt to recover as much data as possible before the card suffers a complete failure. Upon completion you will be able to review the recovered data and confirm that it has been recovered to your complete satisfaction. If not, there is no charge for the attempt.

About 15% of our customers have no other option aside from a level three recovery. These are the last resort when dealing with severely damaged USB drive. It can also be used as a safer alternative to level two methods. At this level the drive is sent in to our clean room laboratory for extensive reconstruction work. These recoveries are basically the equivalent of open heart surgery and likewise are just as complex. The average turnaround time for this type of recovery is 15-25 business days.

Level Three Data Recovery
