1. Are theses laptops refurbished?
NO. These are all obtained from recently ending corporate leases.
2. Do you offer a warranty?
YES. We include a 30 day warranty with all laptops; 180 warranty included with the Dell Multimedia Power house. We offer extended one year warranties starting at just $39!
4. Do these work with iPods?
YES. You can connect iPods to these computers.
5. Do you offer Layaway?
YES. We do offer layaway! You can make payments at your convience either with cash or credit. The laptop must be paid in full before it is taken from the store. No personal checks or money orders
6. What is your return policy?
All sales are final. No refunds or credits.
We offer a 30-day exchange policy for the same or better model laptop.
7. Do the batteries hold a charge?
Some may hold a charge for up to two hours while others may not work at all. We do not guarantee the life of the battery since they are consumable. The multimedia Dell comes with a good battery. We simply sell these laptops so fast that we don't have the time to test each battery. You can purchase a brand new battery at our store for $59. At the time of your purchase we can do our best to get you a good battery but it depends on availability.
7. Do the laptops play DVD movies?
The Dell for $329 plays DVDs as well as the $449 multimedia power house. All others come with a CD player.
8. Can I get on the Internet regardless of where I am?
NO. You must be able to connect to a wireless network. Chances are pretty good though that if you are anywhere within the 5 boroughs of Manhattan that you'll be able to find an available network. Free internet is available in places like Starbucks, Bryant Park, Libraries etc. You can purchase a "Broadband Access Card" from Verizon that will allow you to access the Internet from anywhere as long as you can pickup a cell phone signal.
9. Why do you give a range of how much memory and hard disk space there is?
We get these computers in on an on-going basis and depending on when they were first ordered the specific amount of hard drive space and memory may vary. We have listed the most common specifications for each computer. We do not increase or decrease the price based on the specifications!
10. Can I try the laptops out before I buy them?
YES. We have them setup in our store and they are all connected wirelessly to the Internet. We encourage you to visit our store to try out the laptops and see which one you like best.
11. Can you ship the laptop to me?
YES. We offer shipping anywhere in the USA for $29.
12. Do the laptop have dial-up modems?
The $199 IBM, $329 & $449 Dell's have a built in Dial-Up modem.
13. Where are you located and what are your hours?
We are located in Manhattan on 7th ave between 30th and 31st. Our address is 7 Penn Plaza. It's a large office building in the middle of the block on the same side of the street as Madison Square Garden. We are inside on the 7th floor.
14. Can I play cutting edge games, DJ or create high end 3D animations?
If you plan on doing cutting edge things like gaming, 3-D animation, multi track audio recording or DJing then we highly recommend using the multimedia powerhouse Dell. These types of applications require a tremendous amount of power in order to run properly.
15. Can I use a digital camera, USB memory stick, printer with the laptop?
YES. All the laptops have ports for USB memory sticks, printers, cameras, iPod etc.
16. If I order online how long does it take to ship out?
Most orders are shipped out within 48 hours. If you want a signature to be required for delivery you must specify this during checkout.
